Frequently asked questions
What people ask before drilling a well
Answered the way we would answer them on the phone. If your question is not here, call us — we are happy to talk it through.
How long will it take to drill a well?
Normally we can drill your well in one day. After that, we will have our pump crew come in to install your pump system, which will also normally take one day.
How deep do you have to drill my well to get water?
Every area is different. Depths can range from 150′ to 700′. Call for a free estimate.
How much will this cost?
Most wells are priced by the depth and size of the well. After the initial contact, we can meet you at your property to discuss location options.
Do I need a permit?
No. After your well is drilled, we will submit a well registration report to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
We work daily with the MO DNR Well Division to enter vital information about the wells we drill and the wells we service.
Do I have to use steel or PVC casing?
In most cases, PVC casing is widely used because of the low cost, but PVC is not as strong as steel. Depending on the formation that is being drilled, we will determine which is best for you.
How much water do I need my well to produce?
You can calculate the amount by the number of people in your household. Each person in your household will use an average of 65–95 gallons per day.
Ideally we would like a well to produce 30 to 40 gallons per minute, though in some areas they produce less and in others more.
What should I ask any well contractor?
Lowest price often reflects what a contractor can afford to put into his work. Always ask about operations and equipment, proof of liability, workers compensation, and whether they are licensed with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and/or the Missouri Water Well Association.
Our staff includes accredited and licensed drillers and pump installers, and we require continuing education classes in our field.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. We offer free estimates on new systems so you can be certain you are choosing the right company before you invest, and when the work is complete you receive a one year warranty.
